We live in Houston, Tx, and my daughter is a senior in high school. She wears jeans and t-shirts most days, but pretty much anything goes. Very casual. Most schools will have a dress code, but they're not usually very strict. Search for the name of your school and you can probably find the dress code on-line. Although my daughter's school says no flip-flops, and EVERYONE wears them. Private schools mostly have uniforms.Help, I am moving from Australia to Texas and need advice on schools in America?

Sandra C is right and it depends on the school. Try to find out which school you will attend and call or write to them (almost all schools have a website + e-mail contact info on the site).





The school can also probably provide you with the contact info for some of the students in the classes you will be taking. That will let you ask more questions plus give you someone you ';know'; when you start school.
