To immigrate to the USA, you need to be eligible for a green card (permanent resident card). There are three ways to be eligible for a green card:

1. Employment sponsored: If you apply for a job with an American company, and they accept your job application, the company will sponsor you for a green card and you will be eligible for immigration. For the best chance of your job application being accepted by an American company, you should have a college degree.

2. Family sponsored: If you have an immediate family member who currently lives in the US, as a US citizen, they can sponsor you for immigration via family immigration.

3. Marriage sponsored: If you are married to a US citizen.

For employment sponsored immigration, there are 4 priority categories:

1. Priority Workers (people who have advanced university degrees)

2. Professionals Holding Advanced Degrees (college degree or higher)

3. Skilled Workers, professionals holding bachelor's degree or higher

4. An Entrepreneur who plans to create a new business in the US that will provide work to other people, and unskilled workers

You can also apply for a job to any American company, even if you don鈥檛 have a college degree, and if they can鈥檛 find any American citizen to take the job offer, they will sponsor you for immigration, but it鈥檚 best to have at least a basic college degree to improve your chances.

If you do decide to immigate here, I would not advise immigrating to New York City. It's a very expensive city. It was a city immigrants would go to many years ago, but most immigrants to the US these days go to cities like Raleigh, North Carolina or cities in Florida. There are a lot of affordable and growing cities in the US, but NYC is just too expensive these days.

Hopefully this helps. Good luck.BEAUTIFULL- AMERICA-but???advice?

Unless you have an advanced university degree, masters or better, or can find a US citizen to marry you, basically, the USA is closed to immigration right now. Canadian citizens are the only ones with an easy entry through the TN VIsa and even there you need a bachelor's degree.

For lower skilled jobs the recession has thrown millions of Americans out of work and for the really, really crappy jobs, we have plenty of hard working Mexicans who are here illegally and because of that are willing to work very cheaply.
