is America flirting with economic socialization??Can and should america allow our free enterprise system to self correct? If we dont follow ron paul's advice, ?
No we can't let them self-correct. Yes we have had economic socialization since 1890 when the Sherman Act was enacted. But so what? This is real life, not theory.
Economic Darwinism sounds good in theory, but when a building is on fire, the Fire Department doesn't debate whether they should put it out or not. A modern fire department does not operate on the ancient roman free-enterprise system, under which they would let the building burn if the owner did not make saving it profitable. As a public servant, the fireman's main concern is putting out the fire and preventing it from spreading. It doesn't matter whether it started due to the owner's negligence or even arson. There is time to investigate that later.
Are you willing to live through a depression to prove a point? Are you willing to see people die of starvation because of your philosophical objection to agricultural subsidies? Are you willing to see 25% of the population become homeless and business grind to a halt because the banks fail? Are soup kitchens more palatable than this absurd bailout which is due to de-regulation of the banking system which was instituted by Reagan in 1984 to reverse the carefully crafted regulations made in the 1930s?Can and should america allow our free enterprise system to self correct? If we dont follow ron paul's advice, ?
I'm willing to live through a depression to prove a point. Let's go.
